1965 F100 - 352 V8. Mostly unmolested engine compartment. I'm doing cleanup and preservation. I removed the battery tray 8 days ago to clean it up and paint it - it is original with only minor repairs and rust. The 65 seems to be different with the battery up front to the right of the radiator (passenger side).
Anyway, I am reassembling things and found this bracket and can't for the life of me remember what it is! I always - except for this one time of course - take photos as I disassemble things. I am not 100% sure it is associated with the battery tray but I am sure it was under the hood. I am trying to find it in the parts manual but no luck so far.
That is the bracket that goes from atop the radiator core support to secure the forward-most battery hold down bolt . I have a 66, don’t know if 65/66 are the same.
