This trick might be known or covered somewhere in these threads, but I could not find anything. So I'm posting a little trick I used to remove the front brake rotors without beating on or banging on anything.
After removing the caliper and caliper bracket, I used a 9/16 bolt, a couple washers and a nut. Stick the bolt through the caliper bracket hole and then the washers and nut. Now, just hold the nut with a wrench and tighten the bolt with another wrench or socket/ratchet and it will push the rotor off with ease. Hope this helps somebody in the future.
