Only Toyota has a paint adhesion problem as of recently. Here's my 11 year old truck and the paint is in excellent shape. I can assure you if I had a 11 year old sprayed in bed liner, it would hideous by now. BTW... The sprayed in bed liner is a band aid to the aluminum material used for the truck bed IMO.

So don't buy an alumiduty and just find a used 2011-2016. I dont have a problem with a body that won't rust or a sprayed in bed liner instead of the bare bed. My OBS has the bare bed and I won't load anything in it without something like cardboard or rubber on the bed floor because when you scratch the paint on steel it rusts. If I loaded 2k lbs of rock into my bed with a line-x it will look a hell of a lot better than doing the same to a bare painted steel bed afterwards.

My 5 year old LineX still looks great. In 5 more years, it’ll look better than a scratched up rusty steel bed.

My dad has a 2016 Super Duty, those frames are so petite and cute. Fragile little things, those C-channels.

All I can visualize in my head is opening a can of soda. Pull back the tab and enjoy. At least it won’t rust.

Go back to your thread asking everyone what truck you should purchase.

I have had 6 aluminum ones f150-350 and use them in my construction business and they work fine. Not easy on them by any means.

The front of the bed (bulkhead) separated on my 2011. If my memory serves me correctly I yanked it back in place with a forklift but it definitely wasn’t touched afterwards.

They all have their pros and cons.

Same use though. Same business. Edit: The damages in those pictures are usually caused by impacts at the top, several threads on it; like a GN or 5th wheel hits.

Had 2 last gen steel and 6 newer aluminum fords. Some of the aluminum were also driven by not me and at work.

Sounds like you saw a new one, got mad you can’t afford it, and came here to make yourself feel good.

I like 17-19 trucks with the LEDs. Even though I have had newer. The 11-16 is a decent truck, the front end never grew on me.

Both of mine squeaked a lot after they got a little older. Fairly reliable though.

I bought my first New F-250 in 1972 next one in 1977 they have come a long way for the better, Just don't care for some of Electronics nowadays. Had 2 GMC's and one Dodge along the way. Both times Back to F-250's and F-350's-and up. 6.7's and 6.2's mostly without Issues They pull TRA's 6 days a week. Landscape Business.

I just cant comprehend the complaint of the aluminum body from a guy who posts pictures of a beautifully clean over 10 year old truck with claimed 270k miles. Obviously it isn't used for truck tasks in the slightest degree so why care what the bed is constructed of, certainly nothing is being hauled in it...

My bed is already down to bare aluminum in many spots, very happy its not steel anymore. Going to load 2 ton of loose retaining wall block today.
