universal joints
I have a 1989 f250,auto trans,5.8l , standard cab , 8 foot bed, have a noisey front universal, I want to change them both,front and rear. my question is are they both the same? I had another 89 f250 that I worked on years ago,but I don't remember.Thanks for listening...Jodie ps.. I do a lot with Rock Auto but there seams to be a lot of options

If your rear axle flange has U bolt straps with 1/2 inch nuts the u joints are different front and rear
If the rear axle flange has 12mm bolts the U joints will be the same
Your 89 should have U bolts and slightly bigger caps under those U bolts IMO. The rest of the caps are the same size, and the star is the same size
