Crank no start wiring issues!
I have a 2016 ford f-350 6.7l diesel, has been deleted. The evaporator on the the truck was clogged so I pulled the dash and hvac box to replace it. The only wiring I removed was the passenger side plugs on the BCEM, To pivot the dash just enough to pull the hvac box out. Let me also note that I started to remove the passages side battery box to get to the hvac bolts, I didn’t upluge anything but I did remove the main fuse and plugs that are attached to the box. I ended up removing the fender well instead to get to get to hvac bolts. That is the only two areas I was in and moving stuff around.
I got everything put back together smoothly and have done this job a couple times on other trucks.
the issue is now the truck won’t start. What it is doing is if I turn the key on and wait then try to crank it nothing happens but the dash lights do go off and you can hear clicking in the bcm but if you don’t turn the key on and wait and just go straight from off to trying to crank the truck, the starter will engage but it won’t start. If that makes sense what I trying to explain.
also i want to not that the lift pump isn’t turning on either.
I can’t hook up to IDS because the tune that is on it is making the pcm unrecognizable to ids but if I hook it up to jaltest only codes that come up are wheel speed sensor codes for the front and the check brake system message comes on in the dash.
iv had wiring issues on this truck before with shift lock not disengaging when you press the brake peddle but after I got that fixed I haven’t had anymore issues.
iv pulled the dash out again and checked over everything thinking I may see something I accidentally pulled out or unplugged and didn’t see anything. I also pulled back some of the insulation on the wiring by the passenger side fender well looking for a sort I may have moved just enough but no luck. Truck also has fresh batteries and full charge just to be sure and rule that out.
