Hi guys, I Tried searching the forum because I’m sure this is a common question, but I couldn’t find a way to search just this engine forum. Please help if possible. I am building a mostly stock (will have Edelbrock heads) F250 daily driver that will occasionally (couple times a year) pull 2,500 lbs on a trailer. The transmission is a NP435 and according to the VIN, it has 4:10 gears in the rear. What’s a good cam for this application? I might also be putting a gear vendor behind the transmission, but that will be later on down the road.

If I was shopping for a cam, I'd go to fepower.net and provide the same info you just did. They're a bunch of fe nuts and good guys. There are a few guys that really like to talk cams and have built a LOT of fe's. You can get a cam ground that fits your scenario nicely.
While you're at it, consider a roller cam. Eliminates need for break in and eliminates need for high zinc oil. Also, I have a roller cam and after several thousand miles with the high zinc oil and then several thousand with modern oil, I believe I got nearly one more mile per gallon using the modern oil...both were 10w30..
