I was looking at 70_f100's thread about a clevite cam and it got me wondering.
I inherited a cam with a parts truck, the box says #819 RV-1 and has blue paint at the rear end. Lifters are in a plain box, could be reground. Was thinking about using it in a 352 in my 69 crew cab until I am ready for the 390. Would it be good in the 390? I use the truck to pull up to 12k lb of trailer and equipment, plenty of hills no mountains. Rest of engine is stock w/4bbl. C6 trans. 3.73 gears. Anyway can someone identify the cam and will it work for me?
Thanks for the input guess I'll just have to give it a try. Reading your facts and pointers in other threads is very helpfull. I'm not heavy on building up from stock and have learned quite a bit, thanks again.
