HPOP line replacement?
as preventive maintenance I am replacing my Hpop lines with https://www.riffraffdiesel.com/hpop-stainless-braided-line-kit-94-97/ . Mine look to be stock and they have 226K on them. Are these direct fit to the fittings that are already on the stock Hpop and head?
Few questions regarding this installation;
1) Which years have the quick disconnect that requires the special tool? 2) do I need to drain anything prior to avoid a huge oil mess? 3) does anyone have a link to a write up? 4) any tips for installation? 5) should I replace any of the orings on the stock fittings while doing this (oil gallery plugs, etc.) ?
I have YouTube this and many are on Super duty and mine is a 1995 F250. I am replacing my stock fuel pump, so I will be removing the fuel bowl and figured it will be easier to access the lines during this time. I’ve already rebuilt the fuel bowl and replaced the return lines from regulator to heads with the riffraff braided lines.
thanks in advance
Dont recall but think E99 is when they went with the tool
drain the HPOP before you begin, rebuilding IPR while there?
if in that deep maybe re seal plenums?
rail plugs on rear can leak from the heat and maybe do the fuel orings on rear of heads since pump be out
