2018 F250 KR - 6.7 diesel AC issues - Got a weird one. In Oklahoma with temps in the 100's. If I get in the truck, push the ignition start button and press the MAX AC the air will cool but not condense it feels like.
If I remote start the truck (MAX AC setting set to come back on) the AC is ICE cold?
Any thoughts on what I might be trying to chase down to fix this issue, just in case I forget to remote start the truck or decide mid drive I would like MAX AC to work?
Never been an issue on mine, but I rarely use max a/c, standard a/c has always cooled mine off very well.
What bugs me about mine is that it defaults to recirculating air, and I always, every start, have to switch recirculate off, I want fresh outside air!
Get in your menu and set climate control on remote start (via Ford Pass) to "last settings" and then never fail to set it to MAX just before shutting off the truck. "AUTO" never seems to get the job done in Atlanta.
The two best things I have done to improve A/C efficiency is to get IR rejecting window tint and get a windshield window shade to keep the dash from getting hot. Side window deflectors will let you roll the windows down about an inch as well. All of that helps the A/C get off to a good start.
