Proper coolant and additive?

Im changing my water pump. The auto parts store recommended Zerez G05 for my 6.9. Is this appropriate? Also, what is the proper additive? Any tips?

I got some big rig extended life coolant which is precharged with the SCAs

Forgot what brand. Seems to be doing good in my 7.3.
Edit: It was the fleet charge that I bought

I use Prestone green in everything pre 2000
i use wetter for diesels

other colors cant use BRASS like green does
i dont think the IDI hsa an brass but the 95 7.3 has brass injector cups

G05 is for 2000 and newer. DO NOT put that in your 6.9.
either green with SCA additive, or Fleetcharge SCA pregharged

I think Motorcraft VC8 is our coolant additive, got a bottle kicking around someplace. One bottle is the recommended amount iirc, I’ve never tested anything with the strips to see where it’s at exactly.

I'll add another vote for Fleetcharge. I've been using it in my two trucks for at least a decade and haven't had any issues.
