Coolant Test Check
How do I look boys and girls? I have no idea how to post pictures so I hope they show up...they look like they have on my computer so...here's hoping.
Note...this is roughly 13k miles since my last flush and re-fill with (Valvoline) ZerexHD ELC diesel coolant (red). I'm at 113k on the truck. I drained some standard green coolant out at 100k.
I had Houston Performance Diesel perform the flush. I brought them the (4) bottles of Zerex concentrate...they had the distilled water...at least that's what I'm hoping...they returned to me one bottle of concentrate at about 3/4 full...which seems about right. I didn't watch them do it...but it took the shop foreman (who seemed to know his stuff) roughly 1-1.5 hours to perform the flush and re-fill(at least thats what he charged me). His boss quoted me $200 (2 hours) and his foreman only charged me $100......his boss was out of town. He seemed cool after I demonstrated some knowledge about the front cover cavitation and such. Thoughts on everything? I think my nitrite level is closer to "ideal" than flush...has to be...right?
Could someone please explain what I'm looking at? Do I fall within the acceptable range? Never done the coolant test before.

From what I understand the brownish color (ph) is the acidity of the coolant mix.
The pink is how many particale of coolant is mixed in the water.
The purple is how the well the mix of coolant and water can handle the cold.
i hope I got that right. If not someone will correct me. That's what I take out of it at least.

I had a Ford dealer tell me they wouldn't add the coolant I asked them too because it would "eat up the heater core." I figured an ELC coolant by Valvoline that met the EC-1 CAT spec would cover just about anything. Perhaps they were just trying to make a buck off of me...AND...it was all over the phone.
