1 thru 3 i have never owned, i work at a dealership that sells these brands, and they are crap. i have driven pretty much every model the three manufacturers have however.
#4 was only expensive because i made it that way...
started out with a shifter, and 4:10 gears...then i added a vortech, and a custom chip. next a magnaflow exhaust system...then an 03 cobra fuel tank and dual pump setup...then an intercooler, then 19" wheels/tires, then bilstiens, lower control arms, subframe connectors, irridium plugs, 3k worth of stereo equipment...all said and done, i spent 17k after the 23k i paid for the car. i owned it for 10 months, and sold it for 22k.
ouch. my **** still hurts.
i will never do something so stupid again! (at least, i promise my wife that every day)
Ours was a 92' Explorer, it ran great when we got it at 95,000 miles, and by the time we hit 110,000 it had more money into fixing it than we paid for it. My sisters car has been pretty bad too, 96 Plymoth Breeze, can not get that car to run good and the electronics in it are very tempermental.
I have a really good one for ya........ A Lincoln Mark VIII! What a piece of JUNK!!! These things lose their value so fast and if you do any sort of modification on them it is all down hill from there..... We have one sitting outside just rusting away with payments that still need to be made. The first mistake we made was buying it in the first place and the second mistake we made was modifying it. If we hadn't messed with it we might have still had it to drive around town in and we wouldn't be making payments on something that doesn't run. It had 350hp when it ran, cost a lot of money to get it there. NEVER AGAIN! This vehicle damaged my loyalty to Ford and the problems I have had with my 02 F-250 have damaged it even more. I will buy another Ford product, but it has to be older then me.
My wife...I mean my wife's 98 Landrover Discovery, what a POS. Only reason I let her keep it, cause its paid off.
Matter of fact, shes driving my car today, cause somthing is leaking from the front (again) i dont think its oil, some other fluid
(im not a real wiz with cars)
'64 Lincoln Continental, the one with suicide doors. It always broke down and nothing on it interchanged with regular Ford parts. Beautiful car, but expensive to keep running.
Runner-up, '72 VW bus, a truck with a small car engine/clutch/transaxle.
I have had many vehicles, a few of which were wastes of money, money pits, or just plain awful, but the one that takes the ticket, as Slik said, is the '96 Lincoln Mk viii. I want to blow that car up with something, as soon as the payments are over. A piece of junk barely describes the thing.
I have owned a Kia Sportage for a while - it was a very credible vehicle, performed well but did not impress me enough to keep it for more than two months.
I owned a Yugo once.. The only thing I really remember about it is i used it to camping, and needed to get to other side of a ditch.. I drove into the ditch, and lifted it out, corner by corner. It was the lightest most flimsy piece of machinery I had ever had, but worked reasonably for a tiny 4 banger. It got amazing gas mileage.
I had a 50's GM van that decided to die on a steep decline, by loosing the master brake cylinder. Had there not have been a guard rail to drive against to slow me down, the thing would have killed me. I suppose that is worse than the Lincoln..
My wifes POS Neon... oh wait neon, I forgot they are spelled all lower case. Anyway all I got to say is this thing is rusting away on three low and one flat tire and a blown engine, the worst part is that I am still paying for it while the wife gets to drive a new Grand Am (no lowercase).
I'm not at all happy with the 2002 Chevy Impala I am leasing. I can't wait til the lease is up so I can turn it in. Crappy trunk space, I've just now had a second window fall out of and bend it's track, it misses, and it bottoms out on everything. I won't lease another. Well the future wife (currently fiance), providing she can drive, gets the next one... I get my truck. She's not getting an Impala, thank goodness!
I had a plymouth horizon that was really terrible, but the WORST one was a Buick Riviera with a 5.7 Diesel.
That GM 5.7 Diesel HAD to be the worst engine ever made.
Mine was a '84 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. I affectionately called it Betsy Wetsy. It leaked oil, transmission fluid, Steering Fluid, Brake Fluid, Coolant, and the rear differential leaked.
I must have replaced all the seals and it still leaked.
My second worst car was a '98 Intrepid RT, it had all sorts of transmission problems that did not surface until 37,000 miles and I got rid of it at 50,000 for my Matrix.
