Shift lever damper ?
Pulling back on the shift lever on my AT 2002 F350, there is no longer any spring-back. The lever shifts fine and the shift tube is in good condition. I believe there is a rubber part that should act to hold the lever stable, at least that's what I was told. In other model years I see this small rubber part on the diagrams and it is called a shift damper or bushing. I don't see it on the 2002 parts diagram, however. I haven't taken things apart yet, so I haven't seen for myself. Does anyone have experience with this problem, specifically on the 2002 ?
