New MBRP
So I had to put new exhaust on my 04 today. The 11 year old " aluminized " MBRP had its day.
it was 4" no cat with a muffler.
I replaced it with the same exhaust only stainless.
I noticed that the old muffler was VERY heavy.
when I fired it up the turbo whistle out the back was significantly louder. It also feels quicker. Strange.
could the muffler be plugged from maybe all the times the egr has caused it to plug?
Any other thoughts ?
the new MBRP seems to be of better quality. The old U bolt clamps are now nice band clamps. The only thing I didnt love is how the delete pipe just butts and clamps to the mid pipe. I would have loved to see it flaired as the rest of the pipes are.
