Actually, yes I would love to have a 4-way speaker hooked up to my intake. That would rock. But I also think you are jealou sof my tunes. Cause you can almost hear them from Florida maybe? Neener neener neener.
Naw...Im not that big into stereo..I just got a great deal. Besides..the midget that sits in the engine compartment doesnt like SKA.
I've always wanted an awsome stereo system. However, I've never invested in one because my friends, alarms or no alarms, always get stolen. So I just leave the interior stock because I don't want to give anyone any reason to smash my window and grab something inside. If they look into my window, they just see a stock truck, so there's nothing of interest to them. If I did by a custom stereo, I would maybe cut a hole in the back of my glove box and install it there or something. Regardless, eh, I have the upgrade 6 in dash CD changer and my stereo sound pretty darn good stock. And with all the windows open and the sunroof open, it's pretty loud outside the truck.
Thats why you hide everything. I took pics of the system, the two amps tuck behind the rear seat, and the sub box fits directly underneath the rear seats. All you can see is that I have an Alpine deck. I am, within the next 2 weeks, removing my rear seat, and building a new one with a box inside it. I will obviously keep my rear seat, but it will be completely custom. I dont think it will weigh as much at all, but it wont be as comfy either. Pretty cool project.
one of my friends with a screw is removing the smaller seat in the back and filling it with a box. 4 10 inch Rockford HE2's.... its gonna sound goooood. Nobody messes with my system because they know i will hunt them down... and.... well... yell at them alot. Tell them its not moral or something along those lines... That would be good enough? Right?
I had a system in my old Chebbie. Alpine deck, California 600w amp, and 2 Audiobahn 10's in a box behind the seat. I also had Alpine 6 1/2's in the door which made a pretty nice mid-range sound. Those 2 10's could just about out-bass any 15's around. The only thing they couldn't do (obviously) was get a lower frequency than a 15, but what 10 can right?
I have one of those old crank record players with the megaphone for a speaker and was thinking of placing that on my passenger seat on a piece of foam so the record doesn't skip, what do you think.
Or, possible 10 or 15 of those wind up snowball type chimes that play great classics such as "It's a small world after all". I think If I wind up all 15 at the same time, I can crank it up pretty loud, of course I would have to pull over every 2 minutes to re-wind them, but I think it would pay off. I think the chicks would dig it!!
