I replaced my stock exhaust on my 2022 F250 King Ranch 7.3 gas with a MBRP cat-back system. The muffler included with the system was a bit too loud for startups at home and the drone was a bit much when driving at certain RPMs. I called them and they recommended swapping the muffler within the system to their quiet tone muffler. This change gave me exactly the right amount of sound. I don't feel it's too loud while towing either.
To Sledfan600 thank you for your input. This is the problem I have had. I like my exhaust system but it is too loud for the same reasons you stated. I’m going to look into that muffler.
So I've decided to try the muffler delete. I ordered a MBRP resonator to replace the stock one that broke. The idea that I have is I will cut out the old resonator and muffler, install the new resonator with a length of pipe to connect to the remaining portion of the tail pipe so the exhaust still exit's on the side of the bed. From what I have read that should leave me with the same sound I have now and in NY 3/4 ton and above don't have emission inspections only safety.

I would be curious to hear before and after sound recordings

I don't have the stock sound but I guess we all know what that sounds like. If I remember I will record what is sounds like now versus what it sounds like after.
