Looking for a part
My son recently bought a 1981 ford f100 custom. It's a good truck but needs some work. I have found most parts that are needed but was still looking for one. It's the metal cowl piece where the windshield wipers come from in between the hood and windshield. If someone could give me a part number or a place to pick one up it would greatly be appreciated.

We are in marshall county alabama in the north east part of the state. We are willing to travel though.

If hunting for this cowl piece, consider one from an 87-96 truck.
The 80-86 version had slots that let leaves and pine needles accumulate in the heater intake, next to the red hot resistor pack for the fan motor. Not a good combination:

The 87-96 version had small holes instead of slots, keeping out most debris.
Whichever version you get, consider this simple modification to make your life easier when (not if) the wiper motor fails:
