For a bit of context it had a 1-3/8 input shaft attached to it so not a transmission just some sort of power output and it was found it was in the middle of the desert with a 90s ford ac unit in the trash pile
I don't think 302/351W's were used as industrial engines until the late 80's used as boat engines. The Sixes were used as industrial engines due to great gobs of torque produced compared to a V-8.
The other housing could be from an FE on a 1964 and earlier because of what appears to be a narrow transmission bolt pattern, and the big hole for the clutch release rod.
The other ones a 390 and went to the np435 sitting on that small block
Does an industrial 300 have a different bell housing pattern maybe that could be it. That linked thread mentions his was attached to a 300 with a 184 tooth flywheel
It sure does remind me of some kind of a pump housing flange.
What other truck engines were available in 67? What bolt pattern does a 352, or one of those other engines that was only found in the heavy trucks have?
I know there are plenty of Ford engines that I’m not familiar with.
Some of which I may never even have seen!
1964 was the last year for a Y block so no dice on that one.
