Did all NP 435s come with magnets at the bottom of the case? I am rebuilding mine and there was no magnet at the bottom or any evidence that one had been there all along. The transmission looked like no one else had ever been in it before. Any help appreciated.
Guess no one cares. Ha ha, oh well, I believe I have answered my own question. As I was cleaning the case and drain plugs in order to get ready to paint it, I found that the bottom drain plug actually has a magnet built inside it. I assume the factory used this in lieu of a traditional magnet. The plug has "Lisle Magnetic" written on the face.
