2.9L EFI V6 from 1988 bronco ii. Replacing the engine with a junkyard low mileage 2.9 from a manual. The B2 is auto. The problem I am running into is that the flex plate and flywheel mounts are different on the crank, the auto has about 1” longer flex plate mount, Whereas the manual has a flush flywheel mount. I can’t bolt the flex plate to it due to the shorter length. Why would the crank be different? What can I do? And will this even work?
