Radiator Louvers Problem
Looking for some help. I have a 2021 F150 XL SuperCab 4x4 with the 5.0. The Louvers for the Radiator are stuck in a cycle of opening, pausing but clicking for a second or two and then closing, and clicking for a second or two. I have tried to look for a harness or connection to the louvers that I might be able to disconnect...since it's a heat wave of 107 here in Dallas, but I can't seem to find anything since the louvers are buried behind the grill and in front of the radiator. Any ideas? Any idea where the temp sensor for the louvers would be? Imagine something must tell it to close and open. Truck still under warranty, but in the meantime I'd like a simple "fix". Any chance disconnecting the battery for a while would make the 'system' re-boot and change something?
Let me know if you have any ideas. Cheers.
The powerup does a full close and open diagnostic and calibration test.
If there is a failure, a code is set.
Beyond this I don't know what you can do.
The fuse lists don't Id many specific circuits as there are a lot of them to list that are combined
Maybe call a dealer service and ask if they can tell you what power source is to help until you get it to service.
Good luck.

Bronco 6G Louvers wiring harness
excellent mechanic. He found out the wiring harness is located behind the headlight drivers side. On the side of the road in Union Town Washington we pulled the grill and the headlight assembly. He opened the louvers and disconnected it. Louvers stayed open, Bronco runs cooler in the mountains at highway speeds. I’ll get it into a Ford Dealership to get it fixed but it was a good temporary fix. Somehow aerodynamics and better mpg on something that is as aero as a brick isn’t worth the hassle when the louvers malfunction.
