Can I put 2010 front doors all electric on my 2000 F350 crew cab? If so is there something in the tech section that will tell me how to wire them up. Mine are currently all electric but of course the mirrors do not have extend and fold features
Yes the door will bolt up. Re use you wiring harness in the doors and you will have to cut apart the mirrors harness and add that features you want in. The newer doors have a connector at the a pillar and 7.3 do not. They are hared wired. So have to swap harness out.
The door ajar switch switched to backwards from ours at some year later on. I think it was 11-16 but can't remember exactly. You can also use the newer door panels and switches if the panels are close to the same color.
Finally got my doors picked up on Saturday. I’m going to keep my inner panels and therefore all the switches and wiring.
The mirrors seem a little daunting. All the rest it appears uses the same connectors. Mostly plug and play.
Door lock solenoid, door ajar, window motor, door speaker connectors look the same.
I have started with my front passenger door because I knocked the mirror off by getting too close to a brick mail box.
The truck had manual mirrors so I don’t really have any idea where to begin. Is the cab wired for electric mirrors and I just need to find the harness and run wires to the doors? Maybe a fuse or two and a relay? I knew there would be some wiring because the fold and extend features were not available back then. The new doors came with the switches.
Anyone tackled this before and can offer advice or tips? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Electrical is tough for me. I completely rebuilt the 7.3 in this truck myself last year but I’m just not that good at electrical.
