Just like older women, my expedition started to sag (passenger side bumper, that is). I had seen it around the board, so I got under the front and started taking the bolts off.
I'm pretty strong, but it was HARD to turn - finally I broke it loose and kept turning, turning, etc... When I get it off I realize it had broken the nut off, but I couldn't really see that well..
Does the bumper have built in nuts? I don't know what they call them, but should there be a nut and a washer on the other side of this that I didn't see? I can weld so I don't have a big problem with welding a new nut on the other side, but is this how it should be?
I stopped taking it off so I didn't have to drive a bumper-less expedition around for a few days.
Also, has anyone corrected the sag? If so, do you just loosen, lift, and tighten? I don't understand what causes the sag.
