I installed a new electric fuel pump on my F250. It was so loud i could actually hear it above the engine sound at idle. Stopping at an intersection stop sign, it sounded like the engine was out of oil.
I have read a lot of comments about sound deadening but most had little success. I tried something slightly different.
I used the tapered rubber washers from the toilet bowl mounts on top and bottom of pump, and added some flat rubber washers from other salvage. A flat washer above the rubber washers at the top of the bolt and a 1/4 " bolt threaded directly into the frame by the wheelwell. I have a total of 5 rubber washers. Two on top of the pump, 3 on the bottom between the frame and the pump.
This pump is quite now WITHOUT the engine running. It cannot be heard WITH the engine running. No other insulation involved. Fuel houses are 8" and 2" long with fuel filter attached to pump intake.
Been following, I bought a fuel line from mid 50 stainless for my 1955 F-100 it’s to long I installed a repopulated Taiwan 17 gal tank. My fuel pump has good pressure. Engine driven, but now I’ve got to cut that new fuel line and was thinking maybe install a small inline electric fuel pump. AJ
I used rubber shock insulators between my pump and the frame....my truck is running and not loud enough to hear, i'm using a 12v Holley "red" pump with a manual regulator.

Wade, thanks...that's a perfect pic and I see you mounted yours about like I did. I kinda worried about it hanging lower than the tank but I've got bigger problems if that happens...
here's mine...yours is easier with the bed not in the way !!!
