Hi, My 2019 F350 6.7 truck was showing a bad #3 and #4 egt sensors. I replaced both sensors with OEM sensors. #4 sensor is now working, #3 is still showing 2500. I know the new sensor is good. How do I test the wires at the plug, and where do I go from there. The truck went into limp mode 4 hours from home. I need to go back and rescue it, .is there any known issues besides the egt sensors in the egt circuit? Thank you in advance.
Look for broken/abraded wires. If you can trace the wires back to a connector, disconnect it there and at the sensor. Then check continuity at either end. If you have continuity, you have a bad wire.

Thanks, the wires go into a harness. No obvious damage. I need t get a wiring diagram so I can trace the wires to where they originate.
I have a service manual for my model year. It's one 300 MB PDF file. It's a little goofy but all the information is there. I got it off eBay for maybe $30.
The 2500°F temperature reading leads me to believe that there are shorted (grounded?) wires that causes the computer to conclude that temperature reading. The manual would likely have the max value when the wires are shorted together.
I did switch sensors and still got 2500 on the scanner. I’ve downloaded a wiring diagram for the egt sensors. One wire is daisy chained to the other sensors and both go straight to the pmc. I think I have a plan. I can pretty easily check for continuity between the pmc and the sensor plug. I’m guessing maybe hoping it is at the plug. The wiring harness looks good with no obvious problems. I ordered a new egt plug in case that is where the issue is. Thanks for your suggestions.
