Got a lean bank 2 code and misfires on cylinder 1 and 6.
So I plug in my trusty engine diagnostics OBD2 reader and look at LTFT, STFT etc.
Both LTFT bank 2 and STFT bank 2 are maxed out at 14 and 34 respectively.
So I take a gander at my O2 sensor data live while idling.
OBD code reader shows Bank 1 sensor 1 normal.
NOW it shows another O2 sensor BANK 1 sensor 2 fubared. Stuck at .100
There is no BANK 2 sensor 1 on OBD2 device and I do not have a California vehicle or a sensor after the cat......none. I just have 2 O2 sensors, one each just after exhaust manifolds.
So I plug OBD2 up to my other excursion and it shows 2 O2 sensors..... bank 1 sensor 1 and a bank 2 sensor 1....normal.
What the heck could be going on?
There is a broken wire on my bank 2 sensor 1 O2 sensor so I'm replacing it. Just confused about the bank 1 sensor 2 data with no after cat O2 sensor and not showing bank 2 sensor 1.
It's a Innova 3130C, and it reads my 2000 excursion O2 sensors ok. The 2001 is the one it cannot read right.
Maybe someone slipped a CA pcm in it, don't know. Even with new O2 sensor I get a dead reading on scan tool for bank 1 sensor 2, and no bank 2 sensor 1. But I know things are much better now due to LTFT and STFT bank 2 readings. STFT average is -4 ish and LTFT has come down to 12 at ldle.
It's the scanner, not the truck. The scanner software is assuming that the sensor is present, but it isn't smart enough to know the exact configuration of your truck so it displays a garbage value.
