Ford Order ID
I ordered my 2024 last Monday. By Monday evening, I had my order confirmation and Order ID email from Ford.
Does that ID mean anything except it identifies me with that order? I'm assuming they're all the same format. Mine started with a letter, then two numbers, and another letter. I'm not even sure if I should tell what it is as I have seen some guys post their email with the Order ID blacked out.
Is this ID primarily pertaining to the dealer or something between me and Ford?

if you ever call Ford Customer service for updates they will ask the order number and dealer code. Both are on the Pre Order document the dealer can give you showing all options and pricing. They can generate that order document with just MSRP, MSRP + Invoice, or MSRP + Plan prices A/ZDX
if you call the order administrator at the dealership for order status updates they will ask you for the dealer code.

Dealers create the order number. There is no universal logic other than the order number is 4 characters. Usually a combination of letters and numbers.
if you ever call Ford Customer service for updates they will ask the order number and dealer code. Both are on the Pre Order document the dealer can give you showing all options and pricing. They can generate that order document with just MSRP, MSRP + Invoice, or MSRP + Plan prices A/ZDX

They are random identifiers created by the dealer. Mine was JS0021 or some such. It was the salesman's initials and was the 21st retail order he had placed for that business year.
