2023 confirmation email from ford
2023 confirmation email from ford
I just placed a order for a 2023 F250 and the dealer said the order was submitted. I verified that it was a retail order but he said he didn't need me to sign or my drivers license. Has anyone received the confirmation email from ford on the 2023 orders?
Thanks

I didn't think the 23 orders were being accepted yet.
And, your dealer doesn't sound like they are doing the retail order verification program, at least not correctly.
If they do no do it correctly, your order goes to the bottom of the list for Ford.

Something fishy here, by oversight or design.
There should be a signature on a purchase order describing the ordered truck, proof of identification and validation that you are a real customer, a deposit to ensure you're committed to buy, and a signed agreement to the price to be paid and projected value of any trade at time of delivery (price protection)
I don't feel comfortable that you really have a deal, yet. I'm not even sure the order banks are even open yet for 2023 SD. When you get the confirmation email let us know.

I have a copy of the preview order showing price and an invoice showing final price owed. He took a $500 deposit. I watched him enter the order and he said it had been submitted. He entered my name, address, and email.

On both of the 2022’s I ordered and got from different dealerships. I had to sign the build sheet confirming my options, provide a copy of my drivers license and give a deposit. I then received a confirmation email from Ford.
I submitted my order around 11am EST with my dealer. I called Ford an hour later to ensure they saw it on their end. They confirmed they could see it as "processing". I have not received a confirmation email from Ford yet though. Also on the DORA it shows Priority Code: 19. I asked the order guy about it and he said he could only put it in 10-19 and that Ford will update it automatically to 99, not sure if that's true or not..

I called the Ford customer service phone number and they transferred me over to the marketing department. They asked my name, address, dealership code and order code.
