I’m curious about this 2024 color option. Will it be an ode to the bronze fire which I think ran from around 2012 until 2017 on the SD? It was one of my top color choices when I was looking in 17. They’re some out there but I apparently have the only one in my area, everyone flips out with they see it and I still get stopped in the parking lots weekly with someone commenting on it. Hope someone gives it a try! If I was ordering one I’d do it.

I still get a lot of flowers on the ol’ bronze fire 17… been a good ‘un. Last year for that color and only year on the 17+ body style.

 

The only sample I have seen, posted in another thread, looks like the new color might be darker and more brown than red.

 

Its really dark, like Walnut.

 

It could be very well the color of that 2024 raptor R they’re being seen running around. Has a hint of green in it but very dark bronze like with a good metallic flake. It seems it would go with all the two tone paint as well. Reminds me of antimatter blue. Some pics online it looks like a dark brown. Some it looks like a greenish army brown.

 

The really sad part of this question is that Ford has added colors, started taking orders, and not (you fill in the blank) to update the website to include the colors on the 'build it page'.

 

Are you actually seeing a website where you can configure a 2024 Superduty? All I see is the old 2023 "Build & Price" site.

 

The Darkened Bronze appeared to me to be similar to the Magma Red color offered a few years ago, just with a little less reddish tint.

 

Interesting, magma red was a good looking color. I believe it replaced bronze fire and was only available on the SD for 18-19. I don’t see too many of them either, there is only one I know locally and I know the guy that has it!

If the new color is along these lines it should be a nice option.

 

I searched long and hard for a Magma Red Platinum with Marsala interior F-450 to replace my F-150. Could NOT find one anywhere in the country. Found a decent , relatively speaking for 2022, deal on an Agate black one with low miles, Certified up in GB Wisconsin. Wouldn't you know it, 2 freaking days later, There it is, Magma Red F-450 Platinum with Marsala interior for right about the same damned price!

Ford has a method to their paint schemes that I discovered. Magma Red replaced Kodiak Brown, same color with more red. Back in 99 they had a Turalamine, it was a blueish green that looked black or blue or green depending on the light angles, and lasted all but a year, replaced with Teal which looks similar, but lighter and without the shading effect. Now it sounds like Magma Red has been replaced with the Bronze, so will see if thats true. I heard Antimatter blue has the same effects as Magma Red but have yet to actually see it in person.

 

It’s got to have a “dark tan” look to it as it will be the two-tone color. That raptor pic looks like it will be a good replacement for Stone Grey.

 

It's hard to get a good idea of how a color will look until it is on the vehicle, in different lighting. It looks like a cloudy day when that Raptor picture was taken. To me, that Raptor doesn't look as dark, or brown, as I am expecting this new color to be. That Raptor could be the same color available on the 24 Ranger Raptor, "Shelter Green Metalic".

How? As far as I can tell it's not a color that is being used on any other models, and '24 SD production hasn't started. A picture of the color sample has been posted above.
