Tomorrow marks 10 weeks and this afternoon I needed tools from my truck and was told when I walked in an engine has shipped. A phone call would have been nice
Basic communication can go along ways with good customer service.

They don’t have to be nice anymore. They got your money and now they’ll get paid by Ford to do the warranty work.
Bought a new 2024 Lariat Ultimate Superduty with the HO 6.7. Drove it home from the dealership and ran a few errands to get paint protection film in critical areas and a ceramic coating applied and break in the truck. Headed out on holiday a few weeks later. At 1300 km, yes 1300 km, the engine camshaft failed. New motor being installed but three weeks have passed. No offers for rebates, loss of use compensation, or a replacement truck, just silence. Ford seems to expect that I am going to be happy paying full price for a rebuilt/remanufactured truck with likely a host of ongoing issues related to removing the cab and reinstalling virtually every important system on a (new?) engine, not to mention reconnecting every wire in the truck. Anybody ever get a new replacement truck, or a fair rebate for accepting a rebuilt truck in place of factory new? Lifelong Ford guy, but this is enough to make me look elsewhere for a truck.
Man…this thread is so troubling to read. Feel really horrible for you guys. A month ago I flew from Huntsville, AL to Colorado Springs, CO to pick up a used ‘23 F350 HO. It had 15K miles o it. No problems yet, so hopefully it’s past any “break in” period where anything like this would occur. Wish you guys the best at getting your trucks replaced.

What dealer in Canada is handling the warranty repairs?
I got some back room information on why the HO engines have been failing. Apparently the water cooled turbo had leaks that got into the intake and caused hydro lock. He said the majority of bad HO engines came in with a busted piston.

Dang it, so much for people's optimism that the HO has beefier cooling components to handle the extra power.
S Warranty means nothing if replacement parts aren’t readily available.
It’s a damn joke and the only thing we can do about it is just stop buying the products. If these big corporations don’t take care of their customer base, we do actually have the power of our wallets to close to them and ultimately take care of them. Look at Bud Light and what negative effect it had in just one week. The same for the auto industry would be huge real fast. Way more money involved per unit
1.) If replacement parts arent availaible, then is it fraud to offer a new vehicle with warranty, since they KNOW they cannot get parts? This is a contract matter, and it is required to operate a contract in a timely manner.
A Dealer tried to sell me an Extended Warranty for $6500 when they KNEW they could not fulfil the warranty due to parts shortages.
A Dealer dignosed a bad muffler on my 250 (new- bad weld inside, rattling on light acceleration) and a YEAR later, no exhaust parts.
2.) THis happened with Honda. IIRC, a Lawyer organized or prompted Honda owners to make individual 'harassing' lawsuits thru Small Claims Courts. Apparently it worked.
Theyll spend a ****load of money as a Corp to defend that...
As to the shavings, depending on their size and COLOR, it may have been shavings not cleaned out of the block. If it was small shavings possibly blue or black, it could have been oil system failure or some part disassembled itself.
My Dad once worked for a Sheriffs Dept in the 1960s, they bought some new Hemi Chryslers and first drive out, they stomped them to the floor to see if theyd survive.
Good ol Days...
