I think my pcm is bad, I checked powers and grounds, when I turn the key on to run the fuel pump doesn't shut off after 2 second, the engine light stays on, I have no communication with the pcm with the scan tool, the engine don't start unless I spray carb cleaner in the intake, once I get it going it runs rough and black smoke comes out of the tail pipe. I change the capacitors in the pcm they were bad, I read on line that maybe the fuel pump driver is shorted in the pcm, I don't know witch one that is in the pcm if somebody know please let me know and how to check it. If any body knows where I can get a good remanufacture one let me know, I heard too many complaints about flagship one, and I don't know about module experts. It's a 1996 ford f250 5.8 xl, EEc-iv ford number on the pcm is F6uF-12A650-NB, calibration 6-76A-R05, It's a 60 pin pcm, I wrote down some of the numbers that are on the drivers on the side of the pcm, 986t04, 644t01, 04s80, 638t01, Thank you for your help.
