My *** still hurts from kicking it since selling my 2020 450 Platinum in 2022, this is the right medicine!

 

My CCSB F350 XLT 6.7 was built 3/10 and status hasn't changed since. Any easy way to find out what is going on with it?

 

It's just a shipping delay. I have an F-450 Platinum that was built on 3/12 that is also still sitting in Kentucky waiting for shipment. Sometimes I've had them ship within a day of being built and sometimes they take a few weeks before being shipped. There is no way to expedite it. We just have to be patient. For me unfortunately I have a $2,000 PCO that requires delivery before 4/2, next Tuesday. The delay will cost me $2,000.

 

Kind of an order comment, not really a question. I ordered my Lariat originally with iconic silver and chrome package, same color as my 2020. I've said for years I've wanted a red truck as I've never had one. My grown kids badgered me about why I didn't so I changed it to rapid red. One of them said I need to get up to date and get a black package. I liked how it looked on the website pictures so I had the chrome package deleted and the black appearance package added a couple of weeks ago. Then I got cold feet and was about to decide to go back to the chrome package when the the email from Ford came and now I'm locked in. I won't give away my age but I'm a draft era Vietnam vet if that tells you anything. During most of my driving life it was the more chrome the better. This is more than likely my last big truck and gee I hope I like it with only minimal chrome and lot's of black.

 

I think the black appearance package looks great. I wish it was an option for the 450.

Nice to see some of these finally getting scheduled. I tried to place an order for a MY23 but my dealer told me there was no point by spring when I tried getting an order in for the Job 2 builds of upper trims. Placed my 24 order for a platinum 450 in August. Still no word on it and Ford has completely forgotten their promises of an update every 45 days "no matter what" in their own words.

 

Nice to see 450 Platinum being built also. Placed my order on 10/28/22 for MY 23 rolled to 24 and still nothing. Two orders at different dealerships. 🤬

 

Hang in there. It will get built shortly. I also ordered two 2024 F-450s from different dealership in July, the week the order banks opened. One was delivered 1/30/24 and the other is built 3/12 and waiting to be shipped. Being that your 23 order was rolled check with Ford if you have a Private Cash coupon on file. When I picked up my 2024 F-450 Platinum I was surprised that there was an additional $6000 cash transition coupon because the original 2022 order wasn't filled.

I have a F450 Limited on order for over 2 years now. It originally was a 2022 order that rolled to a 2023 and was rolled to a 2024 F-450 Limited.

 

Hopefully it gets built soon. Ford told me that there is no private cash coupon. WTF

 

Perhaps my $6,000 private cash offer coupon was due to having my original order roiled over twice. I don't know.if that is the cae. The dealer found the $6,000 cert on his own when verifying the $2,000 ECO,

Here are excerpts of my notes when I originally talked to them last year. The Certificate number is altered for privacy.

Talked to Ford Customer Service (800-392-3673) 1/2/23 at 10:30 AM

• There is a Private Cash certificate for me that expires 1/3/23 and gave me the the Cert number and program number Cert # = XXXXXXXXXX, Program Number is 38664
• They said to have the dealer print the certificate before 1/3/23 and put it in the order jacket.
• After 11/21/22 ANY F-450, or King Ranch, Platinum or Limited Super Duty trucks are ineligible for order (My F-450 King Ranch was ordered 10/29/22 so I'm OK.
• When the vehicle hits the dealership, the dealer must call "Marketing Communication Center" to get an exception to apply the expired PCO to my order. That is the department that can give exceptions to expired certificates.

I got my "45 day update" last night, thanks for being so patient Mr Stewart, but we can't build your truck yet. I ordered '23 F450 Platinum in NOV 2022. , got switched to a '24 on 7/17/23, still no build date. I am seeing Limited's in transit to my previous dealer, although they don't have a spray in liner. I asked my dealer if I should delete that option, he said he's getting in 350 Lariats with spray in liners.. just not the 450s.. (WEIRD). I see Jr above me has a build date of 5/6 so there is hope. I just crossed 81k on our 2019, so I hope it comes this summer. I went with Platinum b/c I don't like the admiral blue with Limited, and I wanted the massage seats.

 

Got my Dear John letter yesterday from Ford on my F-450 Limited that was initially ordered as a 2022 F-450 Platinum in January 2022, over 2 years ago. It rolled to a 2023 F-450 Platinum and eventually to a 2024 F-450 Limited.
