X2 are you 100% sure the pully is not bent? Any wobbly when running? And X2 on fully seated? The hdwr in the bracket, where it bolts to the a/c mount plate/bracket, then to the head does not look OEM. Are you sure you do not need a spacer in there somewhere? Do not try to bend the pully, they can be hard to find.
I did get the pulley a little more on shaft but still a little tweaked. I did try a few washers behind bolt and bracket on head but it brang it out towards radiator I need to go in. I’ve had this truck for about two years so not sure what’s missing.
Is that a new/reman. pump? Maybe the shaft itself is not square to the body/bracket. Might pull the pulley off and check with a square/straight edge. Both the pulley and shaft.
Found a thread on here from Aug 2010 by SparkRnd which may help you. All about this problem.
I am not familiar with how to bring it up or copy it here.
I searched for that member SparkRnd and could not locate him or his thread list. Are you sure you copied the correct username?
Just left click on the user name, get the drop down menu. Click on view public profile. When that opens (in the very top box), copy it, then paste it here.
I posted the name of the thread Then I thought you posted the link to the thread right away. That is why I posted the wow as your reply seemed so fast
Will look it up again when I get back. and see if I miss Spelled it..
what are you using to install the pulley? maybe since you got it on further, it still has to go on some more. Everything I see in the original picture looks correct, with exception of the large gap behind the pulley...
Is it the correct pulley? Is it possible that the original pulley got replaced with another one at some point in time? Ford used several different power steering pump pulleys with different offsets & diameters. If there are any numbers/letters stamped on the pulley post them here and one of us may be able to confirm it is correct for your truck.
