1989 E-350 Cutaway, 7.3 IDI diesel. Having a hard time finding a new voltage regulator. I am finding some that list for a specific VIN series that is not mine. The one I have is a Motorcraft FOPU-10316-AA NEG with short circuit protection. Anyone have a good number/source for me? Thanks.
That is an engineering number you reference, not a part number
It's an internal regulator mounted to a brush plate right?
Those regs are all about the same IIRR
They made a black one and a white one that do not interchange IIRR
I think I have one on my shelf. I will look for a part number for you
What color is yours, what amps is the alternator?
External regulator, silver, mounted on the core support, grey harness plug,100 amp alt. I am waiting to hear from a local guy that thinks he has one, too. Thanks.
Great
Those aluminum ones are all the same I believe regardless of amperage.
I only have one spare I use for a test and it is a Sorensen
Check out Ebay item # 222087843599
It is a Motorcraft electronic regulator like you want / need I believe
