Pulling triples and doubles

Picked up 5 new trailers yesterday, had to derated some of the new ones..... Thank you FORD for the race, Time to play Tetris.

With Ford up'ing the min gross I now have to derate my 16K trailers. In the future I have to worry about my new SDs and what trailer it will be pulling for my non-CDL guys.

I feel cool pulling my 35ft travel trailer…then I see this and quietly sit down. Very impressive!

I swear that I saw this rig a few weeks ago on I-39, north of Bloomington/Normal.

pretty easy now to go over the 26K mark. I am good for it though.

?... F250 XL and XLT are 10k gvwr. Lariat and up get the increased gvwr but I cant imagine you're buying lariat or higher trims for a fleet?

12,000 on the GNs and 10,000 on the conventionals. Thats what I am doing for my small business but we only do deliveries sporadically and anything heavy enough for a CDL we have vendors deliver. The conventional around 14,000 with a 325g on it is about as heavy as it gets on the conventional and you can basically physically ’max out’ both types of trailers and stay under CDL gvwr.

My 2wd F350 6.7 DRW has like 6,500 payload, actually closer to 6,700 per Cat Scale full of diesel. Its a loaded out STX supercab.

They really need to bring back the derates.

12,000 F350 SRW and DRW.
11,400 F350 SRW.
10,000 F250 regardless of motor or gear options.

If my truck had 4700 payload I could still do a 20-25k GN and stay reasonably in the weights.

Current fleet is mostly F350's SRWs with 10K paper derate. Now with the HCTT/250 is 10,800. The 4 new trucks will new 11,100.

The 350 derated is no longer available.

bought my 22 DRW with the 13k derate, and got my horse trailer in at 13k as well (manufacture won't do derates, so they built with 2 x 6500lbs axles) 1 lbs under the need for a CDL.
