FWIW, Ranchos have a lifetime warranty... pull them off, take them to 4WP or somewhere, and exchange them for new.
Last batch of Ranchos I got (for my '17 2500HD) one of the shocks was seriously under-damped... obviously a problem with the valving... so I wouldn't rule out a defect.
Also, FWIW, my '09 SuperDuty just has a very weak rear suspension, this truck didn't come with any sort of trailer or camper suspension upgrade, and it immediately wallowed with weight in the back (I carry about 800# in it daily.) I threw a set of Bilsteins on it, but as good as those are, they had very little effect on helping the springs carry weight.
I had this problem with my F-150 + 7,500# TT. I tried adding airbags, which helped the rear axle stay planted while using a weight distribution hitch (I think that was amplifying my problem, but needed on the half ton). The solution to my problem was using the Anderson weight distributing hitch. It neatly eliminated all of the issue with undulation / porpoise-ing. I haven't found a rough road yet, or speed below 75 mph that gets me back to that crazy condition. It's a horrible feeling when things like that start happening at highway speed. I also agree with a couple of the other users recommendations with checking tongue weight (10-15% for TT) and the Lippert road armor seems like it would help. I don't have that on my setup, but perhaps I should.
