5.4 3V Year Compatibility
Looking for info on what model year engines are interchangeable with a 2004 5.4 3V. I have an '04 with 245,000 on the original engine and it jumped timing for the second time, not dumping more money into it. There are a few 04-08 5.4's available to buy from a local junkyard, just wondering if all 04-08 3v engines have the same mounts and transmission bolt patterns. I've heard that i may need to switch oil pans and several sensors to make it work with my ECM. Wondering if anyone has any input on this.
