Yes, the tip stays behind when you remove a bad glow plug. No good way to know it will happen until you're in the middle of the job. At least that's what happened to me the one time it did over 40 years of auto repair.
Full Force is not doing so well these days, I am reading way too many posts where they are failing.
I will go with Bitter Root from Montana
I did, and loving every minute of driving!! Money well spent...new injectors sound smooth and perform amazingly.
@zpsull01 Here is a shot of the Autolites I pulled out of my old truck......a week after I bought it.....new MotorCraft on top for comparison. Mileage on these varies, but you shouldn't have to worry about them for a long while.
I had an autolite tip stick in the head upon replacement. Ended up removing the head to get it out. Just one side on my truck had the autolites. The tip separated from the larger steel shaft. Shaft came out, tip did not.
Replaced with oem. A small savings is not worth removing the head to extract or little bits smashing things up.
Yep swollen GPs are a big problem when extracted and the tip breaks off. A GP or 2 simply not working is a minor issue. Depends on your location, MN vs FL.
FWIW Full Force Diesel injectors appear to have many issues from what I have seen. Do. not. go. there.
