The dash light over the speedometer has finally expired on my 1996 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab. The dealer wants $250 to pull the dash out to replace the bulbs.
Is there another (and cheaper) way to do this? How about accessing at least this one bulb from under the dash or perhaps by pulling the radio and reaching around through the port?
I am even game on pulling the dash myself if it doesn't require a major undertaking and a possibility of screwing up the interior. The interior looks new and I want it to look the same when it's finished.
Also, will a Haynes or Chilton manual cover this procedure?
