I ordered a Russell Brake line kit #696490 for my dually and every thing looks good except the left rear caliper line is to short . My left rear caliper is in front of the axle . I was wondering if anybody else has run into this problem ,I have emailed both the vendor and Russell to see if there is a longer hose for my truck . I will probably just have to run a longer hard line .
Earlier year trucks had one caliper to the front and one to the rear. So the same caliper would work on either side. Later years had them both on the same side. Russel may not be aware of this.
@1996pwrstrk My rear axle is the same way. Are both the flex lines for the rear axle from the kit the same length? Your idea of an extended hard line is a good one if you have the tools to make it.
Yes they are the same . I'm going to wait and see what I hear from Russell before I run a new hardline but it shouldn't be a big deal from the T block.

Mine is a late 99 but that is the issue , the problem has probably shown up before but if not that many trucks were built like that they more than likely Russell didn't worry about the longer line.

Mines a late 99 also and is the same way. I didn't mean early 99 just meant earlier year models. I think it changed around 00-01ish.
My thread on my install of the same kit# with the same caliper setup
Thanks for the info. I think I will run a longer hard line around the back of the block to the hose . Did you use the supplied washers or did you get copper ones ?
