Newb questions
2015 F250, 6.7L diesel, Platinum crew cab, basically bone stock. I do have the factory "heavy" front end, it's on factory sized Fuel wheels (20") on 35x12.50's with a steering stabilizer and has a roll up tonneau cover, and has Airlift helper air bags in the back for towing.
I'm thinking about doing some light work to it.
It has the undersized 26G fuel tank. I want more range. I don't need to go boss sized, just more than 26G. Looking for easy take out of the factory tank, swap in the new tank. Not looking for anything like past rear axle or in the bed, aka a transfer tank.
I've seen the S&B (56G from them, 56 Gallon Replacement Fuel Tank for 2011-2016 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L Cr – S&B (sbfilters.com) and Titan (50G from them, 2011-2016 Ford Crew Cab, Short Bed SUPER SERIES (7020211) (titanfueltanks.com). Are these the go 2 aftermarket tank manufacturers? Pros and cons of each? It appears I have a skid plate around/on my factory tank setup? Would like to retain if possible. I also want the highest hanging aftermarket tank possible, e.g. I don't want one hanging real low. Best option?
Also looking to the following parts mods:
Cold Air Intake for 2011-2016 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L – S&B (sbfilters.com)
Cold Side Intercooler Pipe for 2011-2016 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L – S&B (sbfilters.com)
Body Mount Kit for 2008-2016 Ford Super Duty Crew Cab 5.4L, 6.2L, 6.4L – S&B (sbfilters.com)
MAP Sensor Spacer Kit for 2011-2019 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L – S&B (sbfilters.com)
Good or bad? Worth the cost? Better brand/version available?
I also saw that S&B is coming out with a hot side aftermarket pipe next month? Should I buy too when it is available?
