Hi all, new guy here. I just got a 1971 F 100, 360 Holly 2 barrel 4 speed. Oh, Hump side? Doing a cleanup, the aluminum hose from the passenger side of the air cleaner cover is in pieces. It runs down to the passenger side frame next to the radiator. Can all this be replaced or upgraded?
If so web sites would be helpful.
Thanks
Any way for you to post a picture of this hose where it is from and to?
I am guessing this is from the air filter snorkel on the bottom and should go to a tin shroud around the EXH manifold to trap heat.
Where the hose hooks up has a valve and when the air and motor are cold the valve lets hot air to the carb to help it run till up to temp and keep the carb from icing up.
As the air and motor get warmer the valve moves to pull in cool air.
As for this tin most of them rust and turn to dust and why you may not have one on the motor.
As long as the hose is close to the manifold, use baling wire to hold it in place.

It is the old evaporative emissions system where fuel vapors are sucked from the tank, stored in the charcoal canister, and then routed to the air filter where it is burned. Unless you live in a green commie emissions state, just delete it and plug the air filter hole and fuel tank hose.
That is cool as it is under the air filter and cant be seen.
I have a non-Ford car I did the same thing, Holley 2300 v2 under the factory air filter.
I wounder where you can get that hose as I have not seen it anywhere, but also not looked for it.
BTW nice looking truck,
I bet you get a lot of people giving thumbs up and wanting to talk about your truck.
Do you take it to any Cars & Coffee, cruise in's or shows?
My 81 F100 flare side looks factory stock other than the after market wheels, only wheels I have for the truck.
