Been a few weeks now and the gate does not have to be lower to hook up. I have auto level on my 5W and all I need to do is hit the hitch height and it goes to the correct height where it was when disconnecting and doing so the pin does not contact the gate. Happy so far.

Not yet I have been out of state and started spring cleaning in my shop. I just saw that Custom Flow makes a camera mount for their tailgate; Camera mount

I guess my only concern is the picture shows the camera pointed down. Mine points straight out, horizontally. Maybe not the actual part in the pic?

I see screws to the side so it might be adjustable for the view you want, down to see hitching?

I take it you don't miss your horizontal facing rear camera much then...not surprising as you can see thru the tailgate now?

I'm really used to using truck mirrors and I can see the rear view if I don't have my 5W hooked up. The only time I can say I miss it is hooking the bumper pull car hauler or my boat.
