I'm looking for a louvered tailgate for a 2022 F350, Stromberg Carlson web site says they do not currently make a gate for the 20-23. Anyone know of a similar gate built for the late model Super Duties? I found cloth gates but no louvered gates.
any idea if a 2019 would fit? I had one prior that I moved from a 2000-2006-2015 but sold that one with the 2015.
Sorry, I don't know and can't find anything definitive. It might be worth a trip to a Ford dealership to see if you can ask someone or maybe try it with a truck on the lot.
That looks like a good one, let us know how it goes. My hesitation is no longer having the stock rear camera...
Was supposed to be here Saturday but I'm still waiting. I was going to see about remounting the camera, be nice if someone made an adapter of some kind. More to follow. Tracking shows out fro delivery today.
It's here, on and looks good to me, fit well and we pretty easy to install. There is a lock on the gate so once locked it can not be removed, I'll likely lock it and leave it locked as I believe I can hookup w/o dropping the gate. I'll know this weekend.
I read it was hard to disconnect the OEM wiring from the tailgate, I did not find that to be the case on mine. The wires were under the left rear corner and with a small flat blade I was able to push the latch toward the front of the truck down and separate the plugs, two upper in this photo. I saw a green tag on the top near the OEM gate and found a green under near the connectors. There was a hole in the metal the plugs had to pass through to get to the tail gate, put the small plug through first followed by the larger. Gates now ready to remove. Like all the gates I have had the right sides notched but the 2022 you pull the right side and then move the gate to near closed and lift the left side. For me a two man job as the gates heavy and we don't want to damage it so it can be put back on.
The left hand cup on the tail gate has to be removed and replaced with the cup that comes with the new tailgate. Install the gate and adjust as needed, I had to adjust side to side the actual latches were perfect.
The gates rated for 200lbs and there are wires with the new gate to hold it. The wires are not nearly as robust as the OEM and my only suggestion at this time is they modify the gate to take the OEM support wires. (note the loops on the new support wires are two sizes so get them correct)
Now under that left side are the two connectors for the tailgate, what are the blank connectors here and in photo #3
Just guessing, but something to do with the fancier tailgates? Not sure which you have but mine is the simplest one they offer.
Good job with the photos. Looking forward to where you get the backup camera working again...
It's a 2022 Lariat and it had a back up camera and the tail gate locked with the doors, it has blind spot sensors not, sure what else the could have added. I'm looking to remount the backup camera and may add an in bed camera with the 3rd brake light. Anyone know it I put in both how will they appear on the OEM screen, split screen in reverse of do you switch from one view to another? Wife likes to watch the backup so I'll try and get that back and add the 3rd brake light cam to watch my hitch if I can, I have an in bed tool box and fuel tank so the hitch is not visible hooking the 5W.
Looks like we have the same tailgate, a basic one. Some have the step and IIRC some have the automatic opening option.
You definitely need some help seeing your hitch, good luck making it all work together...

Right now I have the back center headrest out and a white stripe on the pin box. The two buttons for the head rest line up with the stripe, like a gun sight, and I get right on or really close. I do get out to check but with the camera I think it would be right on every time, now I have to mare some minor adjustments sometimes.
