2023 Lariat Order Question

Looking at the order guide it seems Lariats come standard with heated/ventilated front seats 40/20/40 console and heated rear seats. It's optional to get a front bench seat. If going for the front bench are all the front seats heated and ventilated or just the outboard seats? Also if you get the bench front do the rear seats no longer come heated? If so why do they not? Is it because there's no console to put the seat buttons on, and if that's the case why don't they just put it on the armrest instead like the pre-2017s were if ordering rear heated seats?

I believe you're correct in every assumption. Only outboard seats are heated/ventilated and front bench loses heated rear seats. I also think heated rears are only available in the crew cab, IIRC.

Standard is 40/console/40. If you get the 40/20/40 it’s not really a bench just the console is replaced with a smaller center seat. With that you can’t get rear heat and only the outside seats are heated or cooled. In that configuration the center (20) seat folds down and gives you a mini work surface and console with cup holders that flips up when you need the seat. It also has a storage compartment under the center seat and an optional cup holder tray that sits on the floor in front of the seat. I have driven that configuration since 2000 and prefer the extra front seat.

Usually with the console equipped versions you have a little compartment toward the front right under the HVAC controls that has a sliding lid. Inside the small compartment it is usually lighted and there are usually a couple of USB ports and maybe something else like a wireless charging pad or other power point IIRC. Do you lose these or are they relocated with the front bench? Not a lot of info out there on the differences between the two configurations as far as what is eliminated or gained and the benefits vs. consequences of each configuration. Anyone that has had or has either configuration please post up what you know.

I picked up my lariat crew cab yesterday ordered back in November. Front seats are cooled/heated like my 21 were. Unlike the 21 rear now are heated. According to dealer order banks are closed now for 23 and 24 not opening for few months only mustang open currently.

On the front below the HVAC I have two usb ports, one is usb-c and a small compartment for a wallet or a phone. No wireless charger.
