Pulling my hair out. Internet useless on this issue. 49 to '52 Ford F1. I am installing a 8.8 Rear from a Ford Explorer. 3" axle tube, but retaining 2" Super Slide springs . Rear is mounted BELOW Leaf Springs. Can't find a bottom spring plate to mate the two. Looked at Speedway, Jegs, Summit, e trailer......... There's got to be something available ! Any help greatly appreciated. 🤔
You need a differential spring plate. There is no difference if the diff is on top or below the diff. Here is just one I pulled toff the internet when I asked for the diff spring plate. https://www.ballisticfabrication.com...-spring-plates

I just figured it out ! Round U -Bolts will go up from the bottom of axle, just need a Spring Plate for the top, and Shock Mounts for the axle. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finding rear axle shock mounts will be your next challenge. I went through this last year. There is really nothing that bolts on. You'll probably have to find and use weld ons. Which isn't so much of a problem if you weld. If you don't though and need perchs moved and welded on anyway you could have it all done at once. But you will want to get your pinion angle figured out first before committing yourself to welding all those parts on. Hope it all goes well!
Edit:
About the bolt on lower spring mounts. I should of mentioned that there is really no bolt ons for axles below the springs. But they seem available for axles that are above the springs with the perchs welded on underneath the axle.
