i started with a 010" rods and mains undersize crank , built a "cradle" out of wood to set this baby in and just so happens i could spin it easy, using strips of 600 to 2500 , i was careful to do the same amount of turns to each journal while trying not to take out much material. wet sanded , my first time doing that also , so i measured between 003" to 006" near as i could tell between plastigaug and my t gauges , aluminum kings half groove , its together now and runs awesome. 80 psi oil cold and 70 or so hot at 210 after some pulls. i would tell anyone to try it theirselves if you have the time , i put mine on 2 milk crates and set next to me and work sitting down
i used plastigage on some and telescopic t gauges ( i dont have the proper measuring tools but i took my time and checked all the journals, got lucky , had zero problems. on assembly i could spin the engine around off the cranknut with one finger , i had to prime the pump with my sarter because i wasnt able to with a "primer"iive been taking it out on "test drives" with 80 psi oil pressure drops to 70 psi warmed up . thanks for asking about it , i would recommend doing your crank if you're confident, its hard to keep dirt out the way im doing it but keep everything covered helps, have a good day
