I’m joining the team. Just bought this 85 bullnose. Can’t wait to get working on it. But I’m not doing a full resto. Just some interior and mechanical. Super excited
There are lots of parts available for these trucks, new and used. They're generally a pretty easy fix when something goes sideways... it's why there are so many still on the road.
So tell us a little more about the truck, motor, transmission, etc. and what you want to do to it interior and mechanical wise.
You doing the work or farming it out?
And do you know what we really like?
More pictures LOL

Thanks y’all! Here are a couple more pics. It’s an 85 v8 automatic with efi. My plan right now is to let the mechanic handle the urgent needs like new valve cover gasket, and then I’ll DIY the rest like redoing the interior. Interior is a bit rough but I love the original paint on this toro. I want to get it running pretty smooth asap even if that means paying for pro help and then do more cosmetic stuff over time. Any good tips?
Also, everyone knows that babies come from mixing vodka and dollar store condoms.
And it stopped burning oil! Biggest repair I have ever DIY'd and it was fun. A long day, but fun. Unfortunately I burned up the starter somehow, so I subsequently replaced that. That was a quick repair.
Now I have more fun problems to find and fix. Motor is running super smooth when cold, but when it gets warm it stutters quite a bit going uphill. My current plan is to:
hunt for vacuum leaks - pretty sure I have a bad brake booster... could that cause it?
Anyway, I am planning on doing a full brake job including brake booster, master cylinder, pads, shoes, rotors and drums.
replace EGR
replace MAP sensor
replace O2 sensor
Any other tips y'all can offer on things that could be causing stutter? Oil pressure is also reading pretty high (L on the NORMAL range). For the interior, I just threw a seat cover on and cleaned 'er out. It's growing on me as is.
