Trailer sensor kit!?!

When I bought my 23 dually the sales guy put a Ford trailer sensor kit in my back seat . Is this for my pro trailer assist!?! I don’t plan on ever using it . Is it really required? I already hooked up my
gooseneck trailer and made sure all the lights etc worked . Is this kit just for the back up assist? Thanks !

Got the same thing on my 22 F350. I believe you’ll only need it if you want to do a gooseneck or 5th wheel trailer assist. I don’t use mine either.

pro assist. Never used it either. I read though the stuff, looked at the kit and decided mirrors are the way to go, lol.

Did you order the TPMS sensor as well? If so, the cables were bundle together on my 22.

That kit is so you can use the silly **** on the dash. That fine if you want the wife to back up the trailer, but I have a Class A for a reason and would never use that ****.

Pro Backup assist is not needed, just learn how to back a trailer. Geez Ford.

OTOH, Ford's Trailer TPMS system is worth installing. Saved my trailer and wheel from damage just yesterday when a sidewall blew out at 80mph on I-80.
