I am working on my flathead V8 from a 1952 Ford F1 pickup. The engine was locked up and I was able to get it freed, but one of the exhaust valves was getting stuck open. After taking off the intake manifold, I found that one of the exhaust assemblies was broken. Pictured below:
I was about to just order a replacement from LMC but then I read on this post: "https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1670906-difference-between-exhaust-and-intake-valves.html" that there are two distinct types of valve assembly, rotomatic and non rotomatic. I believe that my assembly appears to be the rotomatic variety, but none of the replacement valves that I have found online are advertised as rotomatic. Can anyone direct me a seller that has this type of assembly? Or is there anything else that I am missing?
It looks like your missing the two retainer clips off the top of the valve. Looks like they go down inside the bent piece your showing not sure where you buy that.
